Great place to stay when in Cambridge. Very clean and tidy and the well organised host, Irfan, goes that extra mile to ensure your stay is a great experience. Cereals, bread, yogurts and jams are provided free of charge and when Irfan found out I was a Coeliac he went out of his way to ensure that GF items would be available to me for my breakfast.
Autumn House is what you see from the reviews. It isn't particularly attractive, but it is clean and well run. Al gives a great intro. The kitchen is terrific; it is easy to do your own cooking. There's enough for breakfast to get you started for the day. The location is ok. It is a pleasant walk to the uni, and the bus is convenient. As noted by various reviewers, the downstairs double is about as tiny as a room can be and still accommodate the basics of a hotel room. We knew that going in, so it wasn't a big deal. My two quibbles both have to do with problems when it is hot. The downstairs room is quite close to the street, and we didn't feel comfortable leaving the window open as we slept about a foot away. It would feel more secure if there were a way to affix it open just a couple of inches. The second quibble is with the duvet system. Please provide a duvet and a top sheet. We had to dismantle the duvet to get comfortable on a hot night. We were ok with just the duvet cover, but too hot to sleep with the duvet.
Really great location and high standard of rooms. Irfan is a great host and made sure we had everything we needed. Complimentary cereals and toast were great for breakfast. I’d highly recommend staying here if visiting Cambridge
Absolutely great place to stay. The host cant do enough to make your stay pleasant. Facilities are second to none
